I met Ted Backus in 1991 as he was building my Lancair 360. Before completion he purchased this business. Completed and flying since 1993, Ted has been my preferred mechanic since that time. I have tried a few others and seem frequently disappointed. Ted seems to get things right. Emerald Aircrafters still maintains my Lancair as well as my Malibu. He is a gifted problem solver as well as an artist with composite technology.
